Indian youngster Abhishek Sharma has set multiple new world records with his explosive batting performances in the Asia Cup. He has scored three consecutive half-centuries in the tournament and has now achieved a unique global milestone – recording 30 or more runs in seven consecutive T20 innings.Before the Asia Cup, Abhishek smashed 137 runs in the final match of the series against England. Since then, in the Asia Cup, he has registered scores of 30, 31, 38, 74, 75, and 61. With this, he has become the first-ever left-handed batter in T20 cricket history to score 30+ runs in seven successive innings, and also the youngest player to achieve this feat. He is also the first cricketer to cross 300 runs in a single Asia Cup edition.

Abhishek had earlier broken another record by becoming the fastest player to complete 50 sixes in T20 internationals. He took only 331 balls to reach the landmark, eclipsing West Indies opener Evin Lewis’s previous record of 366 balls.Adding to the milestones, Abhishek has also set a new Asia Cup record for most sixes in a single tournament. The earlier record belonged to Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya with 14 sixes, but Abhishek has smashed 19 sixes this time.With his fiery form, Team India has stormed into the Asia Cup final by winning six matches in a row. They are set to face Pakistan in the final on September 28, and Indian fans hope Abhishek Sharma’s explosive batting will guide the team to the championship.
