Radhakrishnan, the NDA nominee, secured 452 votes, defeating the Opposition candidate and former Supreme Court judge B. Sudershan Reddy, who received 300 votes.The election saw a voter turnout of 98.2%, with 767 out of 781 MPs casting their votes.Out of the 752 valid ballots, the required majority of first preference votes was 377.The NDA had the backing of 427 MPs, but representatives from YSRCP also supported Radhakrishnan, leading to him receiving 14 more votes than expected.13 MPs abstained from voting, including 7 from BJD, 4 from BRS, 1 from SAD, and 1 Independent MP.
